A scholarship in memory of Olivia Rose Belfiglio, daughter of The Honorable Carl Belfiglio and Ms. Dale Winchester, has been established by members of the Ulster County Legislature for students attending Ulster County Community College.

The Olivia Rose Belfiglio Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Kingston High School alumna, Olivia Rose Belfiglio who passed away in June of this year. The fund was initiated by colleagues of the Honorable Carl Belfiglio who serve with him in the Ulster County Legislature as well as friends and family.

Olivia attended Kingston High School before transferring to Saugerties in her junior year.

She enjoyed drawing, painting, photography, and snowboarding, and had been a member of the Kingston High School girls’ cross-country team.  Olivia loved the outdoors and was a member of the Town of Esopus Environmental Board. Olivia had planned to take courses in Environmental Studies at SUNY Ulster during her senior year. The Olivia Rose Belfiglio Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a full or part-time, entering or returning student who graduated from Kingston High School and plans to pursue a course of study in Environmental Studies at SUNY Ulster. The award will be given to students who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
